1. We need God’s Counsel in our Broken World

Matthew 2:16 CSB¹⁶ Then Herod, when he realized that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men.

2. We need God’s Counsel in our Suffering

Matthew 2:17–18 CSB¹⁷ Then what was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: ¹⁸ A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; and she refused to be consoled, because they are no more.

3. Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor

John 14:18 CSB¹⁸ “I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.

John 14:27 CSB²⁷ “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.

• Ask Him to show you more about Himself (Ephesians 1:18-19)
• Speak whatever you know (God you are good / Faithful / Patient / Pray a Scripture)
• Do your S.O.A.P (Scripture / Observation / Application / Prayer)
