Have No Fear

1. Do not fear opposition: Jesus instructs not to be afraid of those who oppose the message, as nothing concealed will remain hidden and all will be revealed in time.

²⁶ “So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

2. Proclaim the truth boldly: What is shared in private or whispered should be spoken openly and proclaimed from the rooftops.

²⁷ What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.

3. Fear God, not people: Do not fear those who can kill the body but not the soul; instead, fear the One (God) who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

²⁸ And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. ²

4. Trust in God's providential care: Even sparrows are under God's care, and not one falls without His knowledge; humans are of far greater value, with even the hairs on their heads numbered, so there is no need to fear.

⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. ³⁰ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. ³¹ Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

5. Acknowledge Jesus publicly: Whoever acknowledges Jesus before others will be acknowledged by Him before the Father in heaven, but whoever disowns Him will be disowned.

³² So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, ³³ but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.
