Effective October 22, 2026
The short version
- You can read every page on this site without telling us who you are.
- When you fill out a form, plan a visit, register for an event or give, you're using Planning Center or Overflow, and that information goes to our church staff through those services.
- We use a few standard tools (Google Analytics and, on some pages, the Meta Pixel) to understand how people find us and whether our invitations are working. They don't tell us your name.
- Questions? Email ohana@newhopehk.org or call (808) 396-7092.
Information you give us
Forms and visit plans. Our forms (Plan Your Visit, Get in Touch, Prayer Requests, Growth Track, baptism, serving, Life Groups and others) and event registrations are provided by Planning Center (Church Center). What you enter there, such as your name, email, phone number, your kids' names and ages, or a prayer request, goes to New Hope Hawaii Kai staff so we can follow up with you. Planning Center stores it for us under its own privacy notice.
Giving. Online gifts are processed by Overflow. We don't see or store your full card or bank details. We receive your name, contact information and the gift details so we can send receipts and say thank you. See Overflow's privacy policy.
Email and phone. If you email or call us, we keep that conversation so we can help you.
We use what you give us to respond to you, care for you, keep you informed about church life, and run the church. We don't share it with anyone outside the church except the service providers named here, or when the law requires it.
Information collected automatically
Analytics. We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to see things like which pages are visited, how people found the site and what device they used. It uses cookies and does not give us your name.
Meta Pixel (ads page only). On pages we use with Facebook and Instagram ads, such as newhopehk.org/visit/, we use the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads help people plan a visit. It records that a page was viewed and that the Plan Your Visit form was opened. We don't send Meta your name, email, phone or anything you type into a form.
Ad tracking codes. If you arrive from one of our ads, the page briefly remembers the ad's tracking code (for example "utm_source=facebook") in your browser for that visit only, so we can tell which invitation worked.
Videos and maps. Sermon and welcome videos play through YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, and nothing from YouTube loads until you press play. Maps load from Google Maps only when you tap "Show the map."
Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs (like IP addresses) to keep the site secure and running.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.
- Control Meta ad tracking in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
- Want us to update or delete information you gave us through a form? Email ohana@newhopehk.org. Olivia Pureza, our Office Administrator, will take care of it.
- Every church email includes a link to unsubscribe.
Children
This website is meant for adults and families. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the website. Parents may share their kids' names and ages when planning a visit or registering for Children's Ark, so our team can prepare for them. Parents can ask us to remove it at any time.
Keeping information safe
We use trusted providers and limit access to people who need it to serve you. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information, like financial details, by email.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
